During his time at Trinity Laban, Andy immersed himself in the dance scene in London and had the opportunity to work with some of the city’s most respected choreographers and dancers. After completing his degree, Andy began his professional career in dance, performing in many productions throughout Europe and beyond. He quickly established himself as a versatile and dynamic performer with a gift for combining different styles of dance and movement.

In 2006, Andy decided to return to Germany and join Oxymoron Dance Company, based in Potsdam/Berlin. The company is known for its innovative approach to dance, combining contemporary dance with ballet, hip hop, breakdance, and theater, and incorporating multimedia elements into their performances. Andy was thrilled to be a part of such a dynamic and groundbreaking company and had the opportunity to perform in many festivals and theaters throughout Germany.

Throughout his career, Andy has also been passionate about teaching and developing professional dance education programs. He has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, from beginners to professionals, and has a gift for inspiring and motivating his students to reach their full potential.

In 2016, Andy made the difficult decision to cut back on his dance performance and teaching activities due to health reasons. However, he refused to let this setback hold him back from his love of the arts. Instead, he began exploring other art forms, including photography and poetry, and began to develop his own unique artistic style.

Andy’s photography is a reflection of his passion for nature and his love of capturing fleeting moments of beauty in the world around us. His poetry is deeply personal and introspective, exploring themes of love, loss, and transformation.

In 2021, Andy launched vekaan.com, a platform that showcases his art and serves as a hub for his creative projects. The site includes a portfolio of his photography, a selection of his poetry, and updates on his latest projects.

This is a new beginning which will grow into something from a dancers’ heart.

“At heart I will always be a dancer, moving through life with the grand curiosity of a child. Exploring an everlasting amount of creativity inspired by life and beyond. I cannot foresee where I will go, nor where it all ends. Whatever it turns out to be: May it be beautiful. Meaningful. May it be of you.
